Panel 2: ICT to support innovative ways to organise school time and space as well as personalised teaching

Video: No classroom, no strict timetable at the Hellerup school
At Hellerup school, students are offered an innovative learning indoor environment, flexible timetables, learning strategies based on the learning style of each single child, and opportunities provided by the surrounding nature.

The Italian project “The Digital School Action Plan”

The main objective of the project was to start an innovation process involving all teachers working in the same classroom. The National Plan was meant to change the attitude of the less interested teachers in becoming familiar with ICT as a learning resource. This aim is being carried out by the Agency through various financed projects: LIM (IWB National plan), Classi 2.0, Isole in rete (Networked School) and Teachers' digital competence: DIDATEC

Panel 3: ICT to support schools build closer relationships with families and the local community

§ Escola Secundária Domingos Sequeira (Leiria, Portugal), Ana Cristina de BARROS GARCIA and Guida LOURENCO de ALMEIDA ALVES, A digitally equipped school developing close relationships with a polytechnical university, a research centre on youth, enterprises, parents associations, etc.
§ Broadgreen International School (Liverpool, United Kingdom), Peter BANKS and Gael JONES, A pioneer school in virtual learning platforms, reaching out and involving the community in every aspect of school life for the sake of inclusion.
§ IES Salvador Victoria (Teruel, Spain), Ricardo ALONSO LIARTE, Pedro MORENO PEREZ, A school connected to the world and its local environment.
